couches in the room of a continuum of care program for addictionYears of drug addiction and alcoholism will not be wiped away after a few weeks in a residential treatment program—recovery is a lifelong journey. Residential treatment is only the beginning of the road. Research shows that the longer a person is engaged in any level of addiction treatment, the better their chances of achieving long-term sobriety. This likelihood of success is why we believe in providing a full continuum of care at DeNovo Recovery.

Clients who complete our residential program have the opportunity to experience a full continuum of care by stepping down to one of the less intense addiction treatment programs we offer. The treatment team determines every unique therapy plan and only includes treatment services the individual needs to meet their recovery goals.

Customizing the Continuum of Addiction Care

The first step in any level of care is an initial assessment by a qualified addiction professional. This evaluation allows the team to develop a personalized addiction treatment plan to address all areas of need. After the initial evaluation, our clients move into our residential or outpatient program, depending on their level of care needs.

As clients progress in their treatment and achieve recovery milestones, they may be able to step down to a less intensive level of care. For example, someone who completes our residential program may transition to our intensive outpatient program (IOP).

Different treatment levels aim to help clients find the right support for their long-term sobriety while also giving them more independence. Our team will work with each client to determine when they are ready to level up and what type of program would be most appropriate for their needs.

Beginning Your Journey at DeNovo Recovery

Our residential treatment program helps clients through the early stages of their recovery journey. This program provides 24/7 care and supervision in a safe and supportive environment. Our clients live on-site at our facility and participate in evidence-based therapies and activities that promote healing and recovery.

Clients in our residential treatment program benefit from various therapies to help them learn the skills for sobriety. These therapies include:

  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Adventure therapy
  • Dual diagnosis treatment
  • Dialectical behavior therapy

After completing residential treatment, our clients have the opportunity to step down to a more independent level of treatment, like our intensive outpatient program (IOP).

Support for the Entire Addiction Recovery Process with Intensive Outpatient Program

Our intensive outpatient program helps clients who have completed or do not require the full-time support of residential treatment. This program requires a greater level of personal responsibility than our residential program, but it also provides more flexibility and independence.

Clients in our IOP participate in therapy sessions a few days per week for a few hours each day. They also can live at home or in a sober living environment and work or go to school while receiving treatment.

During IOP treatment, our clients learn more advanced skills for maintaining sobriety. These skills especially hone their ability to manage triggers and interact with others without relapsing. Some therapies they may experience include:

  • Group therapy
  • Life skills training
  • Nutritional education
  • Relapse prevention therapy

After completing either residential or intensive outpatient treatment, many of our clients find continued support in our aftercare program. This experience allows them to continue to receive care and engagement with our recovery specialists and others they met in recovery.
